Artist Peter Menzies has spent most of his youth in Rhodesia, where he was born in 1955 from a Scottish father and a Swiss mother. After highschool in England, he started engineering studies in Lausanne then switched to cabinet-making apprenticeship in Geneva where he graduated in 1980.

For 12 years, Peter Menzies developed a significant expertise in traditional cabinet-making by restoring the finest antique furniture, first with some of the best restorers in town, then in his own workshop.

During these years, Peter Menzies spent his spare time working on his ultimate target in life: designing and hand crafting original art furniture. His first pieces were exhibited in 1992 in Geneva and were well received by the critics.

For the past few years, Peter Menzies spends most his time creating his art furniture and interior decoration on order for customers in Switzerland and Belgium. However his next target is to exhibit his work in an internationally renowned place. Therefore he still finds time to design and manufacture new pieces of art furniture for his own portfolio.
